NAMI Arizona - National Alliance on Mental Illness of Arizona
Family-to-Family Support Groups
Support groups statewide offer opportunities to share feelings and concerns, network about
resources and information, and give and receive mutual support. Those affected have comfort in
knowing “they are not alone” when mental illness strikes their family.
NAMI Arizona offers support groups across Arizona for the family members, friends, and loved
ones of those with mental illness. Family-to-Family support groups are headed by trained
facilitators who are family members of persons with mental illness. These support groups are
for family members, friends, and loved ones of those with the mental illness. They are not
appropriate for the person with mental illness (for those with the mental illness, NAMI Arizona
offers the NAMI C.A.R.E. Support Groups).
The NAMI Family-to-Family Support Groups are FREE. It is sponsored by NAMI Arizona as a
community service for families in many cities and towns across the state.
